NEACE Terms & Conditions

1. About Us

North East Access to Creative Education CIC (“NEACE”, “we”, “us”, “our”) is a Community Interest Company dedicated to providing accessible creative education, training, and outreach opportunities for young people aged 14–30.

We work in partnership with a broad rage of Public, Private, Charitable and Community Interest organisations.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By booking, enrolling in, or participating in any NEACE course, workshop, or programme, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

For participants under 18, a parent or guardian must agree on their behalf.

3. Courses & Programme Delivery

NEACE provides:

​

• Short courses (e.g. Photography, Art & Graphic Design, Fashion)

• Workshops linked to curriculum texts (e.g. GCSE programmes)

• Outreach and engagement programmes

We reserve the right to:

​

• Modify course content where necessary

• Change tutors or guest speakers

• Adjust schedules due to operational needs

4. Eligibility

Programmes are typically available to:

​

• Young people aged 14–30

• Individuals not currently in full-time employment or education (for certain funded programmes)

Specific eligibility criteria may apply depending on the funding partner (e.g. The King’s Trust programmes).

5. Booking & Payment

• Some programmes are fully funded, while others may require a fee

• Payment terms (if applicable) will be clearly stated at the point of booking

• A place is only confirmed once registration is completed and payment (if required) is received

NEACE reserves the right to cancel bookings where:

• Eligibility criteria are not met

• Required information is not provided

6. Cancellations & Refunds

Funded Courses
 

• Non-attendance without notice may affect eligibility for future programmes

Paid Courses
 

• Cancellation more than 14 days before start date: full refund

• Cancellation within 14 days: refund at NEACE discretion

• Failure to attend: no refund

If NEACE cancels a course:

• A full refund or alternative placement will be offered

7. Code of Conduct

All participants must:

• Treat others with respect and professionalism

• Follow instructions from tutors and staff

• Use equipment safely and responsibly

NEACE reserves the right to remove any participant for:

• Disruptive behaviour

• Harassment or discrimination

• Unsafe conduct

No refund will be issued in such cases.

8. Safeguarding

NEACE is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults.

• All staff and facilitators are DBS-checked where required

• Safeguarding policies are in place and available upon request

• Any concerns should be reported immediately to NEACE staff

9. Health & Safety

Participants must:

​

• Follow all health and safety guidance

• Use equipment (including lighting, cameras, studio kit) correctly

NEACE is not liable for injuries resulting from:

• Misuse of equipment

• Failure to follow instructions

10. Equipment & Facilities

Equipment provided through NEACE or partners (e.g. cameras, lighting, studio facilities) remains the property of NEACE or its partners.

Participants may be held responsible for:

​

• Loss or damage caused through negligence

11. Intellectual Property

• Work created by participants remains their own

• NEACE may request permission to use work for promotional purposes

• Course materials remain the intellectual property of NEACE or its tutors

12. Photography & Media Consent

NEACE may capture:

​

• Photography

• Video

• Audio

This may be used for:

• Marketing

• Reporting to funders

• Educational purposes

Participants (or guardians) will be asked for consent prior to use.

13. Data Protection (GDPR)

NEACE complies with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR).

We collect and process personal data for:

• Course administration

• Safeguarding

• Monitoring and reporting (including funders)

We will never sell personal data to third parties.

14. Accessibility

NEACE is committed to accessibility and inclusion.

We aim to:

​

• Provide accessible learning environments

• Make reasonable adjustments where required

• Ensure materials are inclusive and accessible

15. Relationship with Delivery Partners

NEACE works with external partners (including Niltoni Group companies) to deliver facilities, equipment, and specialist expertise.

• These partners operate under their own policies and procedures

• NEACE remains responsible for overall programme delivery

16. Limitation of Liability

NEACE shall not be liable for:

​

• Indirect or consequential loss

• Loss of personal property

• Circumstances beyond our control (e.g. venue closure, technical failure)

17. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. The latest version will always be available on our website.
